Aberdein Considine are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Conveyancing Department in Glasgow (Byres Road).
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for covering all aspects of residential conveyancing and providing secretarial support to the lawyers. As well as working as part of a team and individually to provide support to other team members and departments where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening Purchase and Sale files on Visual Files; preparing quotations, TOBs, offers; completing Money Laundering checks; importing relevant file documents and emails onto the case management system
- Dealing with clients within the office, on the telephone and via email
- Keeping clients updated on their transaction
- Meeting with clients to take relevant ID / witness client signatures on documentation
- Closing files in Visual Files and scanning residual file documents into the case management system, sending out documents to clients as appropriate
