We're looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Legal Assistant to join our Private Client team in Glasgow.

- JOB PURPOSE
- Provide administrative support to the Glasgow Private Client Department on a day to day basis on key business requirements.
- Provide a consistently high level of service to maximise business opportunities.
- To work as part of a team and individually to ensure the best customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answering telephone calls, taking messages, setting up appointments and managing team diaries
- Opening money laundering and legal files
- Secretarial support to Solicitors and Paralegals (six 6 fee earners): mainly typing of dictation, fee notes, client correspondence
- Entering precise data quickly and correctly
- Office administration duties: filing and scanning
- Mail duties: Organising all mail for signature, collection and allocation of mail to appointed staff within the department, ensuring all mail leaves the department on the day scheduled
- Assisting with the receipt of new instructions / referrals
- Using various computer systems to create/update and maintain client records accurately
- Dealing with basic client queries and taking messages where appropriate
- Preparing fee notes
- Registering Powers of Attorney
- Completion of forms
- Lodging & uplifting of wills and documents
- Debt Management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Highers or equivalent in English and Mathematics
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Pleasant telephone manner and efficiency in relaying and taking messages
- Computer literate and familiar with MS office packages
- Previous office experience

- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, great attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
