Aberdein Considine are looking for a Mortgage Customer Service Advisor to join our busy team within either Aberdeen or Edinburgh. The successful candidate will help new and existing clients with the initial mortgage process and serve professional advice helping clients through into the next stage.
Job Purpose
Generate and qualify mortgage and protection appointments for advisers.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling all inbound mortgage and protection related enquiries
- Qualifying mortgage and protection appointments
- Generating mortgage appointments from outbound calls to existing clients
- Liaising with key stakeholders in the business, including mortgage advisers, property staff and senior managers
- Creation and updating of accurate MI to evidence performance and drive improvements
- Accurate data entry and updating of CRM system
- Requesting and analysing credit files from clients with credit issues
- Identifying opportunities for referrals to other areas of the Firm e.g. legal, estate agency, investment needs
Skills and Experience
- Confident communicator with experience of telephone sales
- Well organised with an attention to detail
- Driven, self-motivated with an ability and desire to work autonomously
- Sales orientated with an ability to spot opportunities
- Numerate and comfortable with basic calculations
- IT literate – good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
- Basic understanding of mortgages and protection – not essential as full training will be given
- Experience of building relationships over the telephone
- Desire to progress career within Financial Services
