Aberdeenshire Council Children’s Social Work Service is looking to recruit a motivated, ambitious individual to join our service as a Team Manager, to lead and support service delivery and provide high-quality support and supervision to team members in a Children and Families Team, based in Buchan House, Peterhead.
The Team Manager will be responsible for the operational delivery of critical services to vulnerable children, individuals, their families, and carers through the day-to-day management of a team of qualified social workers and family support workers. There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
You will have significant operational experience and knowledge of the broad landscape of contemporary children and families’ practice. You will be able to demonstrate that you can model, promote, and deliver best practice within your team. You will share our key commitment to our practitioners in terms of their professional support, learning, and development. Your own practice will be aligned to trauma-informed, relationship and strengths-based practice that underpins our work.

Requirements:
- This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
- The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
- You will be required to provide this check.
- A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
