Providing a professional field social work services to children, families, individuals and groups, this post is based at Portlethen Family Resource Centre, within Portlethen Academy. The team covers the local area, encompassing the Academy and the five local Primary Schools. The postholder will work within current legislation, policies and procedures of Aberdeenshire Council through working in partnership with service users, other professionals and agencies within the wider community.
The role carries a varied caseload, opportunities to contribute to working groups as appropriate and may include Out of Authority travel at times. There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Requirements:
- This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
- The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
- A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
- This post has a minimum requirement of two references which must be your current or most recent employer.
