Overview

We require a highly motivated Plumber to join our Voids team to carry out a range of maintenance, repair, alterations and improvement work on properties owned by the council. You will be expected to participate in an on-call rota and must have satisfactorily completed a recognised apprenticeship in Plumbing to SVQ 3 Level or equivalent. You are required to have a high level of health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, repair, alterations and improvement work on council-owned properties as part of the Voids team.
  • Participate in an on‑call rota as required.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality service delivery and continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and maintain high customer care standards.

Requirements (Qualifications and Skills)

  • Must have satisfactorily completed a recognised apprenticeship in Plumbing to SVQ 3 Level or equivalent.
  • High level of health and safety awareness.
  • Working knowledge of relevant statutory regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Good communication skills and customer care orientation.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
