Provide care and support to service users within a very sheltered housing facility. There are 2 positions available:

  • Position 1: 35hr Care and Support Worker – 5 shifts a week (mixture of early and late, every other weekend). Early: 7.15 am to 2.45 pm, late: 2.15 pm to 9.45 pm. Salary £26,864 to £27,631.
  • Position 2: 21hr Care and Support Worker – 3 shifts a week (mixture of early and late, every other weekend). Early: 7.15 am to 2.45 pm, late: 2.15 pm to 9.45 pm. Salary £16,118 to £16,579.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation. Fixed Term: for a period not exceeding 1 December 2026.

Requirements:

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory. This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment. This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
