We’re offering you an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role as a Mechanic based at our Fleet Repair Depot Inverurie. You will be responsible for the service and repair of Aberdeenshire’s fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment. Every day you will have the chance to work on the wide range of vehicles and plant that we operate. With over 800 vehicles and 1500 items of plant, our fleet is large and varied consisting of:
- Cars
- Light commercial vehicles and minibuses
- Heavy commercial vehicles
- Quarry equipment such as slew diggers and dumpers
- Loading shovels and telehandlers
- Smaller plant items such as mowers, trailers, and mini tractors
The working week is Monday to Friday, with hours of 37 hrs a week over 4 days and a rolling day off, giving you a great work-life balance. You will be required to be on standby rota, which runs continuously throughout the year. Occasional overtime is available if workload requires but is not guaranteed or compulsory. You will receive a company pension and generous holiday entitlement.
A current valid driving licence is essential. This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, which must be your current or most recent employer.
