We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Trainer to deliver the Health & Social Care Foundation Apprenticeship in various schools across Aberdeenshire. As part of the Foundation Apprenticeship Team, you will play an important role in sharing your professional experience and teaching young people in a dynamic, multi-site environment.
The successful candidate will deliver both the NPA and SVQ components of the programme, bringing real-world Health and Social Care knowledge into the learning experience. Support and training will be provided to achieve the SVQ Assessor qualification if not already held.
You will have substantial experience working within Health and/or Social Care settings, along with a strong understanding of effective practice in this sector. While previous experience in training is not essential, the ability to engage, motivate, and support young people as they develop skills for future careers is key.

Fixed term for a period not exceeding 01/07/2027.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
