Aberdeenshire Council is offering an exciting opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Fleet Services team as an Apprentice Mechanic, based at our Inverurie Repair Depot. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised industry qualification.
As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will work alongside experienced technicians maintaining and repairing a wide range of Council vehicles and plant, including:
- Vans
- Refuse collection vehicles
- Gritters and winter maintenance equipment
- Light and heavy plant machinery
You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship with structured on-the-job training and college-based learning. There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Fixed term for a period not exceeding 48 months.
