Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic teachers to lead and manage the school, ensuring strategic direction and effective management for the benefit of pupils and the community. The role involves overseeing whole school policy, curriculum development, and promoting improved educational outcomes.

The post holder must demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the service and organization.

Requirements

This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will need to join or update their PVG Scheme membership. If you have spent more than 3 months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.

Salary will be in accordance with SNCT agreements. Applicants must be or be eligible to register with GTC Scotland. Those qualified outside Scotland should review the GTCS FAQs regarding registration.

The grade for this position may be reviewed annually and adjusted in line with SNCT policies, effective from 1st August each year.

Holding the Standard for Headship became a requirement for first-time headteachers in Scotland from 1 August 2020, with some exemptions.

This post requires at least one reference, preferably from your current or most recent employer.
