You have experience in a caring role in health or social care and have a good approach to people. You are also comfortable with undertaking personal care tasks and have a sensitive and caring approach. Manual lifting may be involved.
To work alongside Social Care Officers as members of the team in the person-centred care and support of individual residents. To support the Social Care Officers in assisting individuals with the practical tasks associated with, for example, intimate personal care, eating and drinking, and social activities.
General duties associated with the overall running of the home, as directed by the Management team, are also part of a Care Assistant's role. There is a mix of late and early shifts over a rolling rota.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
