Our Property and Facilities Management Service are recruiting for an experienced Manager to take the lead role in the Estates Management Team. Responsible for the Council’s Asset Management function, the Estates Team ensure the built estate meets strategic requirements, supports the local economy and generates income.

As Estates Manager, you will lead a team of professionals to meet service agreements and objectives, and contribute to the review of service standards to ensure the delivery of highly efficient property management. As a qualified Chartered Surveyor, you will ensure the provision of a comprehensive valuation, surveying and land agency service to internal and external clients. With the financial skills to manage income generation, management of operational costs and capital and revenue expenditure.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This is a Politically Restricted position as identified by the Local Government and Housing Act 1989. Further information on restrictions as a result of this designation is available.
