Act as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate the pre-Birth to Three Framework, helping to contribute to the care and education of children. There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Work Pattern: Monday, Thursday and Friday 8.30 - 3.00. This post will be part of a busy team supporting pupils with profound and complex needs to enjoy and participate fully in their education. Full training will be provided. Fixed term for a period not exceeding 02/07/2026.

Requirements:

  • This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
  • This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
  • The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
  • A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
  • This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.
