We are looking for a dedicated Additional Support for Learning (Complex Needs Provision) Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will help shape positive outcomes for pupils with significant and complex learning needs by promoting attainment, achievement, and equality of opportunity. You’ll work collaboratively to remove barriers to learning and foster an inclusive environment across our schools.

This is a network post. The vacancy is for the Banff Network, the hours are currently allocated to Banff Primary School, but you may be required to work within the Banff CSN.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Salary for this post will be in accordance with SNCT agreements. Applicants must be or eligible to be fully GTC Scotland registered. If you qualified as a Teacher out with Scotland, please visit GTCS – Qualified Outside Scotland and review the GTCS FAQs for more information around obtaining registration with the General Teaching Council Scotland.

This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, which must be your current or most recent employer.

  • Work collaboratively with support staff and multi-disciplinary teams to create a nurturing learning environment.
  • Build and foster strong relationships with pupils to support their learning development, well-being, independence and confidence.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with multi-disciplinary teams, including specialists and dedicated support staff.
  • Promote positive outcomes and wider achievement, ensuring every pupil reaches their full potential.
