To contribute to the provision of effective and efficient Legal Services to the Council, its Officers and Committees. The principal areas of work include providing procurement advice, drafting complex services contracts, grant agreements, construction contracts and ICT contracts, and providing advice on subsidy control and data protection matters.
While this post is offered as a full-time position, the Council may consider candidates who would prefer a part-time position provided this is no less than 4 days per week. There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
This is a Politically Restricted position as identified by the Local Government and Housing Act 1989. This post requires a Disclosure Scotland Check and where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
