The Service Strategy & Governance Analyst reports to the Service Delivery Manager (ITAM) and supports the delivery of Aberdeen plc's corporate IT strategy. The analyst executes and tracks progress against the roadmap and operating plan across financials, people, sourcing partners and improvement initiatives to develop required capabilities and increase performance. The role collaborates across corporate, ITS and the wider business to champion the vision and strategy for IT service management.

Key Outcomes

  • Supports the Service Protection Manager (ITAM) in the execution of the corporate vision and strategy.
  • Develops and maintains high‑level policies and procedures for Enterprise Services governance.
  • Works with the team to deliver operating plans for corporate in line with the wider Technology operating plan covering supply, manpower, financials, KPIs, capability development, improvement initiatives and risks.
  • Tracks and reports progress against the operating plan and roadmap, communicating and managing exceptions.
  • Partners with corporate (and other teams) to maintain a detailed operating model for the corporate function, defining functions, processes, toolsets, organisational structures and sourcing models.
  • Analyzes and reports financial budgets and manpower plans to deliver services, ensuring alignment with operating plans and regular review.
  • Monitors and tracks Enterprise Services KPIs, synergies and cost‑saving targets.
  • Assists in understanding and mapping the business value of services.
  • Defines and embeds a knowledge‑management strategy across corporate.
  • Develops and implements a robust approach to service portfolio management for new and existing services and prioritises investments based on customer demand and value.
  • Tracks future demand and assesses impact as required.
  • Plans and manages Service Strategy & Governance initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with a robust understanding of P&L across multiple vendors/suppliers and multi‑million‑pound budgets.
  • Finance degree and/or at least 12 months of professional experience in a finance‑focused role.
  • Broad understanding of IT Service Management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Proven collaboration and facilitation skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to engage independently across all levels of the organisation.

Qualifications

  • ITIL qualifications desirable.
