At Aberdeen, a leading UK Wealth & Investments group, we are looking for an Investment Platform Specialist to join our Asset Management Technology team. The Specialist will provide front‑office support for our Order Management System (OMS) and connected applications across APAC, EMEA and AMRS.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as dealer‑facing support point for portfolio managers, dealers, and third‑party vendors.
- Provide real‑time support for trade execution and the investment management system (Charles River IMS).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
- Oversee functionality, performance and defect resolution of investment platforms.
- Collaborate within the Asset Management Tribe to enhance platform features and resolve technical issues.
- Work with end users to identify workflow improvements and maximise system value.
- Support front‑office needs such as order routing, pricing and reporting.
- Partner with service teams and vendors to ensure business requirements are met.
- Engage with internal stakeholders on business‑as‑usual tasks and project work.
- Perform routine tasks that underpin critical business processes.
- Document processes and procedures for BAU investment activities and support.
- Participate in platform enhancement initiatives.
- Develop industry awareness and common problem‑solving knowledge.
About the Candidate
- Customer‑focused, able to understand business requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SQL and Excel.
- Experience with FIX and desk‑based dealing applications in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of investment products (funds, ETFs, equities, fixed income, OTC).
- Experience with front‑office systems and trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
- Experience with Windows Server environments.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and internal teams.
- Familiarity with support ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, JIRA or equivalent.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in an investment‑management environment.
- Knowledge of Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS).
- Understanding of enterprise scheduling systems.
- ITIL v4 Foundation or ITIL Service Operations.
- PowerShell scripting or equivalent scripting language.
- Network knowledge including Telnet.
