Investments Surveillance Analyst, Risk & Compliance
Join Aberdeen as an Investments Surveillance Analyst within our Risk & Compliance team. The role focuses on market conduct surveillance, insider list management and process automation.
Job Description
Aberdeen is the UK’s leading Wealth & Investments group, committed to delivering excellent client service through technology, talent and a culture that puts stakeholders at the heart of everything we do. The team is growing our direct and advised wealth platforms and repositioning specialist asset management to meet client demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Review trade electronic communications and voice calls for market conduct purposes.
- Support Information Control Room duties to maintain the insider list and associated restrictions.
- Provide input to improve surveillance processes and identify opportunities for automation.
- Support the production of relevant management information.
- Collaborate with colleagues across SLA to build and maintain an effective control environment, providing guidance, support and constructive challenge.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Physics, Business Studies or related subject (preferred).
- Any relevant professional qualifications (preferred).
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Interest and passion for a career in financial services and/or Risk & Compliance.
- Good analytical skills.
- Pragmatic and proactive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience working well in a team.
- Intermediate Excel ability (macros, formulas bonus).
- Ability to work under pressure.
