Job Title: Investments Internship Programme

Location: Edinburgh

Role Type: Full-time Internship

Period: June - August 2026 (10 weeks)

Closing date : Wednesday 5th November (We reserve the right to close earlier due to volume of applications) Assessment centre to take place in January 2026.

Choose from one of four exciting areas based on your interests and strengths:

Chief Operating Office (COO): Join the engine room of our Investments business. The Chief Operating Office (COO) is the driving force behind innovation, operational excellence, and outstanding client service. As part of this dynamic function, you’ll be exposed to the strategic direction and oversight of our technology and information systems—both internal and client-facing. Interns may join teams such as Public Market Operations, Private Market Operations, Client & Regulatory Operations, Supplier Management, Market Data Services; or Asset Management, Client, Operations and Data aligned technology teams. You’ll gain insight into the full investment value chain, from client onboarding and investment execution to reporting and data delivery, through to system design and programming, network planning, budget planning, database management, and computer operations. Ideal for those who enjoy working with data, managing priorities, and streamlining processes.

Client Group: The face of Aberdeen, this team connects with clients globally to understand their needs and deliver tailored investment solutions. Interns may work in Institutional & Wholesale Sales, Client Relationship Management, Insurance, KYC Operations, Client Office, or Digital Solutions. You’ll learn how we build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting them throughout their investment journey. Perfect for those who enjoy communication, relationship-building, and client engagement.

Global Product & Marketing: Central to our product innovation and promotion, this team works across internal and external networks to develop and manage Aberdeen’s global product suite. Interns may gain experience in Product Strategy, Product Development & Management, and Regional Marketing. You’ll help shape the future of our product range, support launches, and deliver marketing campaigns. Great for collaborators with strong communication skills, creativity, and attention to detail.

Chief Investment Office (CIO): Delivering ESG-integrated investment solutions across global markets and asset classes, CIO offers placements in Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Private Equity, and Real Assets. Interns will contribute to research, portfolio analysis, and investment strategy. Ideal for analytical thinkers who are client-focused, strategic, and passionate about sustainable investing.
