About The Role
The IAM team is responsible for the development of the corporate Identity and Access Management technology service, which is utilised to provision and maintain core user identities and corresponding entitlements across Aberdeen, including our global territories. With increasing focus on IAM within Cyber Security and demands on Aberdeen to comply with legal and regulatory requirements surrounding the management of our information, there has been a need for several Group-wide strategic programmes to expand our IAM controls. Therefore, we\\\βre seeking an additional Identity & Access Management Analyst to join the growing team and support the advancement of the IAM strategy at Aberdeen. The role reports directly to the Identity & Access Management Lead and is based in Edinburgh. The role holder will work closely with our Cyber Security Operations team, Risk & Compliance, and HR, as well as specialist 3rd party security suppliers and the global IT and business teams. As an IAM Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Joiners, Movers and Leavers (JML) processes and maintaining privileged access controls, across Aberdeen as well as provisioning real time access changes for business areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Joiners, Movers and Leavers (JML) processing, ensuring access requests are completed in a timely manner and within published Service Level Agreements.
- Manage incident response for IAM related issues, resolving issues efficiently to minimise business disruption.
- Support the continuous development and management of Privileged Access Management (PAM) controls.
- Keeping technical and business knowledge up to date in area of expertise, e.g. relevant legislation changes or product rules.
- Proposing and delivering pragmatic, innovative, cost-effective solutions to complex problems where there are often no existing solutions or a new perspective is required.
- Seeking continuously and proactively to improve quality of analysis, service delivery, and/or business decision making.
- Undertaking an analysis of a range of data sources, to produce options and recommendations for a workable solution and drive action from key decision makers.
- Effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
About The Candidate
- Experience working in an Identity Access Management role
- Experience working with One Identity IAM solution
- Broad knowledge of access controls across enterprise infrastructure and applications such as Active Directory
- Passion for security and self-development to keep up to date with the evolving IAM trends, technologies, and best practice
- Knowledge of security controls across Microsoft Technologies, such as Entra ID, PIM, Purview, Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Identity is beneficial
- Being comfortable with disciplines of Security Policy and Governance and understanding of NIST Cyber Security Framework is beneficial
