As Head of Marketing Operations, you will help bring this purpose to life by building the foundations that support growth, stronger adviser relationships and better outcomes for clients while investing in your tomorrow. Aberdeen Adviser is investing in its marketing capability as part of a wider growth and transformation strategy. The team combines deep industry knowledge with modern B2B marketing practices to strengthen adviser engagement, support commercial growth and deliver measurable impact. Working collaboratively across Marketing, Data, Technology, CRM and Sales, the team plays a key role in helping enable our clients to be better investors.

About the Role: This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a hands-on marketing operations professional who enjoys turning strategy into scalable execution. You will lead the marketing operations roadmap across marketing technology, data, automation, reporting and campaign operations while managing a small team and influencing a broad network of stakeholders. Working within an established technology and CRM environment, you will build practical solutions that improve efficiency, targeting and commercial insight. This role offers the opportunity to shape how marketing operates across Aberdeen Adviser and develop capabilities that support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the marketing operations roadmap across martech, data, segmentation, lifecycle automation, campaign operations, reporting and attribution.
  • Translate marketing strategy into practical system, data, process and reporting.
  • Build scalable audience segmentation, lifecycle journeys, lead scoring principles, nurture programmes and sales hand-off processes.
  • Establish operating standards for campaign execution, governance, QA, templates, journey design and self-service enablement.
  • Develop trusted reporting and attribution frameworks that demonstrate engagement, pipeline influence and commercial impact.
  • Continuously improve processes, technology usage and operational effectiveness through innovation and optimisation.

About the Candidate:

  • Strong marketing operations experience within a B2B environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable enterprise marketing automation platform.
  • Experience improving marketing operations within established or scaling organisations with shared ownership across teams.
  • Ability to translate commercial goals into practical data, process, audience and reporting solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across Marketing, Sales, Data, Technology and Compliance.
  • A collaborative and delivery-focused approach with strong problem-solving capability.
  • Salesforce Data Cloud, SQL, Power BI or similar reporting and analytics experience.
  • Financial services, wealth management, fintech, SaaS or another regulated B2B sector experience.
  • Experience connecting marketing engagement data with behavioural or commercial outcomes.
  • Working with agencies, consultants or technology partners.
  • Use of AI, automation or low-code tools to improve operational efficiency.
