About The Role
You will be responsible for championing the corporate purpose and supporting the strategic business priorities of Aberdeen Group. You will play a key role in the delivery of corporate communication projects including the development of our Annual Report and Accounts and financial calendar activity; communications support for C‑Suite stakeholders; management of the Group’s social channels and website; participation in communication workstreams for key commercial projects; and crisis management scenarios. The key objective of your role is to ensure the corporate narrative is clear, consistent and effectively delivered across our corporate channels. Your business expertise and industry knowledge will play a critical role in maintaining the credibility of the team to manage relationships and collaborate across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of the wider External Communications team to ensure Aberdeen’s purpose and strategy is appropriately promoted and understood across all audiences.
- Successfully lead key corporate projects and forums to coordinate complex communication requirements.
- Lead on the creation of content in a variety of formats appropriate for corporate communication channels, including Aberdeenplc.com and corporate social media channels.
- Provide direct communications support to C‑suite stakeholders including script writing, briefing notes and other long and short‑form content.
- Produce and manage corporate communications content, supporting full year and half year results, Annual Report and Account production and Annual General Meeting key presentation deliverables.
- Collaborate and co‑operate with colleagues in Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Investor Relations and throughout the business to ensure effective coordination and promotion of activity across the business.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and coordination of key business messages across channels, ensuring delivery of strong and consistent messages to all stakeholders.
About The Candidate
- Corporate communications experience, financial public relations or investor relations – particularly in corporate reporting and script writing.
- Strong writing skills to draft highly effective and insightful corporate content.
- Comfortable challenging and discussing complex issues and able to clearly articulate key messages in writing or verbally for all stakeholders.
- Strong track‑record of effective coordination of project delivery.
- Aware of listing and disclosure rules and experience managing confidential information.
