About The Role
We are seeking a Corporate Change Manager to join our Corporate Change team, who manage projects that include: cross-company change projects; transformational initiatives; merger & acquisition transactions; integration, separation & TSA s; target operating model implementation and regulatory compliance.
This position is responsible for working with business sponsors to deliver change initiatives in the form of both singular projects or workstreams that are part of a larger programme as well as collections of related projects / change activities. The role focuses on the successful delivery of relevant change initiatives into the relevant business areas with a clear benefit realisation plan in place.
Key activities include stakeholder management, shaping change initiatives with Project Sponsors and Programme managers, effective planning, prioritising delivery, aligning and readying the business for change to achieve agreed goals and ensuring risks, issues and quality of delivery are managed. The role will manage projects using agile, waterfall and hybrid approaches and requires a strong understanding of various methodologies and the ability to adapt and apply them to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage smaller projects or workstreams less than £1million, covering a number of business areas and jurisdictions with the support of a programme manager.
- Partner with sponsors to create Business Cases for respective approval forums.
- Deliver one or more projects where intimate business knowledge is critical to success.
- Ensure compliance with the Aberdeen Change Framework.
- Manage project teams to maximise value from all resources.
- Ensure robust project plans with clear dependency mapping across all delivery partners and dependent projects.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Work closely with squads to create and maintain epics and features for project deliverables.
- Build strong partnerships with Tribe Lead and Product Owners and Application Tribe teams to ensure work is on backlogs, prioritised and tracked through to delivery.
- Ensure project budgets are within Financial Approvals, with forecasts within tolerance or funds returned.
- Robust Risk & Issue management across all projects with effective mitigations.
- Lead end-to-end delivery analysis, from Define to Delivery, and support shaping initial business ideas.
- Lead business requirements gathering and validate project scope.
- Prepare detailed documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business teams to define and support delivery of operating model changes.
- Support change management activities such as test approach, runbook creation, operational readiness and other project change events.
- Support design and implementation of operating models that enhance efficiency and effectiveness of business processes across Aberdeen.
- Collaborate with Tribes/Squads to deliver change to applications/products to enable operating model changes.
- Identify opportunities for process and system improvements and implement best practices/standards learned from previous projects.
