The predicted salary is between 27800 - 36200 £ per year.
Pay rate is £13.45/ £17.47. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate swimming teachers to complement the swimming teaching team at the Aberdeen Sports Village Aquatics Centre. Specifically, we require dynamic and engaging teachers to deliver learn to swim lessons to a variety of ages and abilities, as part of our extensive summer learn to swim programme. As well as being organised and a confident communicator, you flourish in a busy environment and understand the importance of being a team player. You bring enthusiasm, a passion for excellent customer service and a 'can-do' attitude.
Main Duties
- To plan and deliver excellent swimming instruction within the ASV Learn to Swim pathway, following Scottish Swimming’s National Framework; providing fun, safe and inclusive swimming activities.
- To assist and complete the relevant administration tasks associated with the post.
- To provide outstanding customer service, and to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- To maintain the highest standards of teaching, health & safety and customer care in accordance with the facilities operating procedures.
Education and Qualifications
- A UKCC Level 1 Teaching Aquatics qualification (or equivalent) is required.
- An SSTQ or UKCC Level 2 Teaching Aquatics qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, along with other relevant qualifications (such as NPLQ or NRASTC), or other aquatics coaching qualifications.
Knowledge and Experience
- Essential experience for the role includes: Teaching swimming lessons to a variety of ages and abilities; Working with children and adults.
- Desirable experience for the role includes: Experience in working in a busy sports centre environment; Experience in a customer facing role.
Skills and Personal Qualities
- Excellent and adaptable communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
