Location: Kittybrewster Complex, Aberdeen

Duration: Permanent, Full Time

Job Purpose/about The Role

The Team Leader will assist provision of an effective and efficient service to the public in respect of property repairs, maintenance and upgrades to the council’s housing and non-housing stock through supervising a team of multi skilled tradespersons.

Seeking individual with construction knowledge and ability to manage in-house trades and contractors to secure a safe, successful delivery of property improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in a building trade at SCQF level 5 (SVQ level 2) or equivalent/other relevant qualifications/relevant site experience.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

  • Gas heating system installation
  • Working with all main building trades.
  • A knowledge of social housing stock and the construction methods used in building

them.

  • A good knowledge of building regulations.
  • Good knowledge of the regulations relating to asbestos.
  • Understanding of current Health and Safety issues and all current legislation and

statutory procedures.

  • Knowledge of IT packages, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Word etc.
