Roles that require PVG Membership
Please note that from 1 April 2023, candidates for roles requiring PVG membership will need to cover the cost. This applies only to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above, including teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (£30,285 per annum / £16.64 per hour).
The Council will initially pay for the PVG membership cost—£18 for existing PVG scheme members or £59 for non-members. This amount will be deducted from the employee’s first full month’s salary.
Job purpose/about the role
To deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional, corporate life of the school in relation to pupils, staff, and external bodies within the SNCT agreements.
Minimum requirements:
- Appropriate teaching qualification
- Full GTC (Scotland) registration in the relevant subject/sector, or eligibility for registration
