Job Purpose: To deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional, corporate life of the school in relation to pupils, staff and appropriate external bodies within the agreements of the SNCT.

Roles that require PVG Membership: From 1 April 2023, roles with a full‑time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above will require PVG membership. The Council will pay the cost initially – £18 for existing members or £59 for non‑members – deducted from the first month’s salary.
About The Role: Deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional, corporate life of the school in relation to pupils, staff and appropriate external bodies within the agreements of the SNCT.
Minimum Requirements:
- Appropriate teaching qualification
- Full GTC (Scotland) registration in the appropriate subject/sector, or eligibility for such registration
- PVG scheme membership – Working with Children
Skills & Experience:
- Understand the Standard for Full Registration and the General Teaching Council for Scotland Standard for Registration and Standard for Career‑Long Professional Learning, Code of Conduct and Scheme of Professional Update.
- Demonstrate commitment to continued personal and professional development in line with GTCS expectations, Code of Conduct and Scheme of Professional Update.
