Roles that require PVG Membership
\\n
Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £30,285 per annum / £16.64 per hour)

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

To manage, supervise and develop school financial and administrative support services in accordance with corporate and school procedures.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
Standard Grade/National 4 (or equivalent qualification) in English and Mathematics or
experience of financial and administrative processes in an office environment
The postholder is able to demonstrate:
• Supervising a busy office
• Experience of Microsoft packages including word and excel
• High level of competency in IT
• Good financial literacy
• Management, monitoring and operating financial systems
• Being responsible for the safekeeping, accuracy and appropriate processing a variety of information, which is often of a sensitive and multi-agency nature
• Reception duties
