The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The purpose of this role is to support and contribute to the provision of the People and Organisational Development cluster by delivering an appropriate and professional advice and guidance service. The People and Organisational Development Advisor role will have a focus on People Development and also work across the various Centre of Expertise teams within the Cluster and in line with the demands and priorities of the organisation.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

  • Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
  • Evidence of continuous professional development

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

  • Providing advice on people management relating to at least two of the following areas:
  • Organisational and job design including workforce planning
  • Organisational resourcing and talent acquisition including designing recruitment and selection initiatives
  • Pay, reward and remuneration, including equal pay and job evaluation
  • Managing change in a transforming organisation
  • Developing, resourcing and delivering training and development on effective people management
  • Employee Relations processes (such as discipline, grievance, attendance management)
  • Building and maintaining successful working relationships at all levels in the organisation
  • Problem-solving and responding appropriately in a variety of situations
  • Critically evaluating information and developing practical business orientated solutions
  • Facilitating customer-focused solutions
  • Sharing knowledge and working collaboratively with others within the functional area and across the wider organisation
  • Consultancy and facilitation skills with demonstrable ability in influencing and coaching managers, with specific focus on encouraging managers and employees to become self-sufficient
