Location: Marischal College, Duration: Permanent, Full Time
This role's core purpose is to provide expert advice and support to improve information governance and data protection practice across the Council, and to support and deputise for the Council’s statutory Data Protection Officer when required. You’ll be a confident communicator who is comfortable translating their expert knowledge and experience into practical, meaningful advice and support - within the context of a large and diverse organisation, you will understand the importance of building relationships and taking a partnership approach to improving practice and culture.
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
- Qualified to postgraduate level in a relevant law/information management/information governance related discipline, or significant equivalent experience and the willingness to work toward a specialist postgraduate qualification
The postholder is able to demonstrate:
- Demonstrable experience providing advice and support on the full range of information governance / data protection areas in a large complex organisation
- Managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams and complex stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Monitoring and contributing to budget setting processes
