Location: Brimmond School, Aberdeen

Duration: Apprenticeship, Full Time

\\n

Roles that require PVG Membership

\\n

Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £31,505 per annum / £17.31 per hour)

\\n

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

\\n

The Modern Apprenticeship Programme is targeted at building our workforce of the future.  Funding for training is available for applicants aged 16-19 and 20-24 (depending on the framework) and for disabled and care-experienced applicants between the age of 16-29. Please ensure, if you are applying for a Modern Apprentice post, that you meet one of these criteria.

To work in collaboration and under the supervision of Early Learning and Childcare teams to provide high quality and learner centred Early Learning and Childcare to children from 2 – 5 years

\\n

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

    \\n
  • Good written/numerical skills gained through either Standard Grades/National 4 or 5 qualification(s) or
  • \\n

  • Relevant work experience
  • \\n

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

    \\n
  • Ability to communicate effectively. This will include non-verbal, verbal and written
    forms of communication
  • \\n

  • Good observational and listening skills
  • \\n
