Location: Fergus House

Duration: 35 hours per week

General Assistant Job Purpose: To undertake all necessary general and specific duties, ensuring a clean, safe and tidy environment using, where appropriate, specific equipment and PPE. This post is within Fergus House, covering general assistant tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience of general assistant support in a customer focused environment
  • Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme Record (PVG) or willing to become a scheme member

The post holder will be expected to work at weekends and within a 7 day shift pattern.

Responsibilities:

The post holder needs to be able to demonstrate an understanding or experience of:

  • Health and safety awareness
  • Safe use of a range of food preparation equipment
  • The needs of older people
  • Operating a range of cleaning equipment
  • Interpersonal skills; communication
  • Able to operate kitchen equipment
  • Using your initiative
