Our client is looking to recruit a Pensions Technician to join their growing Pensions Administration Consulting team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across some of the largest pension schemes in the country, providing meaningful support to government departments and other public sector clients. In this role you will assist experienced Pensions Consultants and Actuaries in delivering high-quality advice on the administration of member benefits. You will help clients navigate a range of challenges, including ensuring benefit accuracy, implementing changes arising from legal judgements, improving membership data quality, and preparing for the rollout of pensions dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of pensions calculations, technical notes, and client advice across a range of ongoing projects.
  • Assist in developing technical content on pensions administration and scheme governance.
  • Interact directly with scheme administrators and sponsoring departments to develop processes and materials that improve service delivery.
  • Help maintain and build client relationships, contributing to a collaborative, partnership-based approach to project delivery.
  • Keep up to date with developments in public service pensions and communicate these clearly to clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Experience in private or public sector pensions and pensions administration.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of specific deliverables.
