In-House Pensions Specialist, Team Leader/ Assistant Manager
This is an excellent opportunity for you to use your DC/DB pensions administration and pensions legislation knowledge in a varied, hands‑on management/team leadership role, overseeing relationships with multiple pension providers and supporting the effective delivery of pension arrangements across the UK, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland, whilst you also manage, mentor and develop two pensions team members, ensuring a high-quality and efficient service to scheme members.
If you're looking to develop your career within an in-house pensions management/support role this is the opportunity you have been waiting for. You are someone who enjoys combining hands‑on pensions administration and technical knowledge with team management, stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
You will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of pension providers, ensuring pension contributions are accurately processed, reconciled and paid within legislative deadlines. You'll oversee automatic enrolment and re‑enrolment compliance, pension governance, payroll and benefits system requirements, and the ongoing development of pension administration procedures.
You'll also play a key role in business transfers and TUPE projects, reviewing pension information, coordinating data mapping across payroll, HR and benefits systems, and ensuring pension arrangements are correctly implemented. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external providers, you'll contribute to wider pensions projects, process improvements and regulatory compliance.
You will have a strong background in DC pensions administration, with a sound understanding of pension legislation, automatic enrolment and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of DB pension arrangements, particularly public sector schemes such as the NHS and Civil Service Pension Schemes, would be advantageous, as would previous in‑house pensions experience.
You'll be confident working with pension providers, payroll and HR teams, with excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills. Strong Excel capabilities, an understanding of payroll systems and the ability to manage multiple priorities are important.
