We're looking for a proactive and safety-focused Fleet Support Technician to join our Fleet Control team. In this critical support role, you'll be the first point of contact for Drivers reporting train faults, working quickly to resolve issues and minimise disruption to our services. Your ability to manage incidents efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise accurate work orders for all defects, detailing the fault, attempted mitigations, and outcomes in line with the Fleet Support Technician Workflow policy.
- Coordinate technical support from third parties, including Technical On-Call and the Train Maintenance Provider (TMP).
- Maintain accurate and complete data entry in the Asset Management System and monitor shared inboxes for timely fault reporting.
- Identify and record repeat defects, and escalate potential safety-related incidents in line with RM/RT8250 and internal policies.
- Utilise the Decision Support Tool for fault management, raising change requests where no mitigation procedure exists.
- Monitor real-time remote train data to detect faults, working closely with Remote Performance Support Managers (RPSMs).
