About the role:
We seek a highly skilled candidate with 5-10 years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our Mobility team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) work, such as corporate governance frameworks, including transparent and fit-for-purpose governance structures, risk management frameworks and processes, internal controls framework, import controls, licensing, foreign direct investments, franchising and distribution, consumer protection, regulatory applications, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, competition, internal trade compliance, and data protection. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal & Assurance Officer, Mobility this candidate will be pivotal in providing comprehensive governance, risk, and compliance advice and support for our rapidly expanding Mobility business across EMEA & APAC. It can be based in London or Istanbul.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Chief Legal & Assurance Officer in providing GRC support to the board of directors and executive management and handling corporate secretarial matters such as organizing and attending all management and board meetings with the Chief Mobility Officer, taking and circulating minutes and action items, preparing resolutions, managing board appointments and resignations, and filings with relevant authorities
- Support the rollout of governance frameworks, risk management protocols, compliance policies, programs, and best practices for Mobility, including training and awareness programs for the business teams
- Provide training to internal stakeholders on GRC policies and processes to facilitate operational efficiency and compliance
- Actively work with the GRC team and Mobility in identifying governance requirements and assessing the existing gaps and areas of concern
- Support in undertaking risk and compliance assessments on new market entry and business set-up in new markets
- Promote a culture of Risk Management within the Mobility Sector and Risk units by ensuring adequate Risk Registers are maintained.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities for Mobility for significant activities and key areas of operations
- Advise on the risk mitigation strategies for strategic, operational, compliance, financial, and reputational risks.
- Work with the GRC team on undertaking risk assessments on all the investment opportunities within the Mobility Sector
- Support in providing regulatory advice and support (including regulatory research and analysis) on a range of matters such as import controls, licensing, foreign direct investments, franchising and distribution, consumer protection, regulatory applications, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, competition, internal trade compliance, and data protection
Qualifications and Experience:
- A qualified GRC resource with a minimum of 6 years PQE broad experience in both staff and operation management gained in an appropriate business environment
- Professional experience in the governance, risk, and compliance function
- Certifications in Governance, Risk, and Compliance, such as CRMA, CIA, ACAMS, ICA, and GRCP would be an advantage
- Fluent English and other languages Italian, Polish, German, Arabic, Chinese highly desirable
- Academic background in finance or business administration with a recognized qualification from a reputable institution would be an advantage
- Demonstrable expertise in regulatory and compliance work, regulatory applications, and laws and regulations relating to franchising, distribution, import controls, competition, and data protection
- Experience gained from a consulting firm or experience in a multinational corporation or automotive sector highly regarded
- Comfortable handling regulatory and compliance work and liaising with regulators
- Culturally sensitive with a collaborative approach with international team members and stakeholders
