The University of Aberdeen wishes to appoint a teaching fellow (Grade 6, 0.8 FTE) in Art History for four months (though may be up to 9 months) from 1 June 2026. This is to cover a period of maternity leave. Applicants should have demonstrable expertise and teaching experience in art history or a cognate discipline.
The successful candidate will assist with ongoing delivery and assessment of taught courses across the art history undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Applicants should have a PhD in Art History (or cognate discipline) or be close to completion with a developing profile of research or scholarship, commensurate to experience. The post is to cover the maternity leave of the fixed term post holder.
Salary will be at Grade 6, £38,784 per annum, pro rata for 0.8 FTE, actual rate of pay £31,027.20 per annum.
This post does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post that require sponsorship to work in the UK.
