We have an opportunity for a part-time Stores Technician to join the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition, based in the Institute of Medical Sciences. The IMS is situated on the University’s medical school campus at Foresterhill, one of the largest health campuses in Europe. The IMS stands alongside the Rowett Institute, bringing together researchers from a wide range of disciplines including molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, nutrition and health.
The successful candidate will work with the one other stores technician to provide support to research groups in the IMS; this will include receiving, sorting and delivering packages to laboratories on the Foresterhill campus.
The successful candidate should be flexible and motivated with good communication skills as the role will require regular contact with all grades of staff. You will work closely with another Stores technician and be prepared to work full time hours to cover holidays and any prolonged absence.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 3 scale, 41.10% of £26,565 - £27,920 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
