Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Nutrition Assistant to join the Human Intervention Study Unit (HISU), a modern research facility that supports a wide range of human nutrition studies. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team of nutritionists, dietitians, clinical staff and researchers, you will play an important role in the delivery of cutting-edge nutrition research.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and preparing study diets in accordance with research protocols and for supporting the day-to-day operation of the HISU metabolic kitchen. The role also involves dietary analysis using Nutritics software, supporting participant-facing activities, and contributing to knowledge exchange and teaching activities within the Institute.
Applicants should hold a degree (or equivalent) in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related subject, possess excellent organisational and communication skills, and have an understanding of food composition and food hygiene. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is essential. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be able to start work at 6.30am when required and hold a valid driving licence.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 scale, Β£28,199 - Β£31,236 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience
