The Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate tax filings and contributing to the smooth operation of tax processes across the group. This position reports to the Head of Tax and is part of the Finance Team located in Cambridge and will be an on-site role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Prepare UK Research & Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC) and Patent Box claims.
- Collaborate with external advisors to prepare UK and international tax returns. Calculate or review corporate tax payments and ensure timely settlement across the group.
- Prepare US GAAP tax provisions, including return-to-provision adjustments.
- Prepare the PAYE Settlement Agreement, CT61 and VAT return, in conjunction with accounting teams.
- Contribute to ad-hoc tax projects and strategic initiatives as required.
Essential Requirements
- Working towards or recently completed a relevant qualification (e.g., ATT, part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA).
- Currently working in a tax focused role, minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Familiarity with tax compliance, reporting, and planning processes.
- Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.
Desirable Experience
- Some experience in an inhouse role is desirable.
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is a plus.
