The Senior Scientist – Product Quality R&D is responsible for overseeing multiple cross-functional processes to ensure only the highest quality products reach our customers. This position reports to the Head of Product Quality and is part of Validation and Technical Quality, R&D, based in Cambridge, UK. It is an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Manage cross-functional processes and collaborate with stakeholders within and outside R&D to ensure product quality standards are met. Influence quality practices within our global product development pipelines to deliver products that meet customer needs. Provide expertise and guidance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement using Danaher Business Systems and setting high-performance expectations. Lead through others, including a direct report. The essential requirements of the job include: A PhD in Life Sciences with 8-10 years of technical experience in cell/molecular biology, with expertise in antibody development or application, ideally in industry. Deep knowledge of product design, development practices, processes, and documentation, preferably from a regulated R&D environment (minimum ISO 9001). A process and data-oriented mindset with project management experience, demonstrated through successful cross-functional projects. Highly motivated, with a creative, forward-thinking approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting. Able to work independently to achieve results. Preferred additional experience includes: Hands-on experience with antibody-based techniques such as IHC, ChIP, ELISA, IF/ICC, flow cytometry, western blot, etc. Experience in antibody development workflows.
