Performing antibody conjugation to various labels and subsequent purification using established protocols is the core of the role. This position is part of the Conjugation Development Platform Team within Research and Development and is located in Cambridge, UK, with the requirement to work on-site.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:

  • Perform antibody conjugations using advanced technologies and assess product quality pre‑ and post‑conjugation employing analytical techniques such as HPLC, FPLC (AKTA), and spectroscopy.
  • Develop novel antibody conjugation workflows.
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental data using Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), laboratory notebooks, and Oracle ERP, ensuring adherence to SOPs and ISO9001:2015 standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements and SOP development for novel technologies, supporting cross‑functional teams and ensuring effective communication across R&D and downstream operations.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:

  • Degree (e.g., Masters) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline from an accredited higher education institution and 1–2 years of industry experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, a passion for working in the lab environment, a flexible mindset, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and customer demands.
  • Strong knowledge and practical laboratory experience in at least one of these areas: conjugation chemistry principles, protein purification techniques, or quality control methods such as HPLC, ELISA, SDS‑PAGE, Western blot, and imaging applications (flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry).

Desirable But Not Essential:

  • Experience working with AKTA purification systems.
