The
Finance Business Partner – Operations is responsible for supporting the Abcam Operations function and Gross Margin reporting through consistent financial reporting and analysis, with full P&L and Capex responsibilities.
This position reports to the
Finance Director, Operations , and is part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team located in Cambridge and will be on site.

- In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Planning and
Budgeting: Drive the Operations P&L and capex forecasting process, and Gross Margin forecasting including detailed modelling, accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including capital investment appraisals, variance and trend analysis, and forecasting.
- Business
Partnering: Build strong relationships with key business leaders across Operations, Commercial and Finance to understand their strategic objectives and provide financial expertise.
- Financial Controls: Ensure appropriate SOX compliant controls in place for both revenue and cost recognition
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
- Qualified accountant
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills (i. e. Excel).
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial planning systems and tools.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
- Experience with Oracle
- Experience with Tableau/Power BI
