The EHS Administrator provides essential administrative and coordination support to the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) function.

This role ensures effective management of training systems, occupational health processes, compliance tracking, and internal communications, supporting a safe and compliant workplace.

This position reports to the EHS Manager and is part of the Operations function located in Cambridge, UK and will be an on-site role.

  • In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring documentation, manuals, permits, and compliance records are maintained and up to date.
  • Support EHS training, compliance, and risk management processes across site operations, including Visual Factory updates, action trackers, management of the EHS inbox and compliance calendar, and maintenance of SDS and COSHH compliance systems.
  • Coordinate occupational health activities by liaising with external providers to arrange and schedule monthly clinics, acting as the on-site point of contact during clinic days, supporting visiting nurses and ensuring the smooth delivery of occupational health services.
  • Provide support for EHS compliance monitoring and systems administration through maintenance of the health and safety compliance portal including tracking and follow-up of concerns and corrective actions with stakeholders as well as maintaining EHS metrics and dashboards.
  • Provides workplace health and safety support through the monitoring and maintenance of essential safety equipment and supplies, including First Aid, AED, and DSE resources.

Supports workplace compliance activities by developing inspection and emergency response templates, and other related safety documentation.

  • The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
  • Functional Experience – administrative experience working with compliance systems and portals.
  • Technical Skills - strong technical proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
  • Communication & Problem Solving - effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

The candidate should be proactive and able to work independently as well as have a strong problem-solving mindset.

  • Organisation, Planning and Collaboration - collaborative individual with strong organisational and planning abilities, excellent attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple systems and data sources accurately and independently.
  • It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
  • Working within the life science sector and familiar with a laboratory environment would be favorable
  • Health and Safety experience is not essential but a willingness to learn would be desirable
