The Associate Scientist reports to Senior Scientist and is part of the Protein development platform department located in Cambridge (UK) and is a lab-based role (on site). At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Perform Expression of Proteins (including antibodies)
  • Perform Purification of Proteins (including antibodies)
  • Assist in developing and optimizing our Expression and purification systems

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

  • A PhD or BSc and/or MSc with relevant experience in a Life Sciences subject
  • 5 plus years of hands‑on experience in Protein Expression and or Purification.
  • Excellent attention to detail with good organizational skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Molecular Biology, Protein design or DNA preparation
  • Performing to high quality standards within the lab; ensuring the lab is compliant with all external and internal quality standards, and compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
