ABC Teachers are looking to employ creative and skilled Design and Technology Teachers to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educator to inspire students through practical and theoretical design and technology education. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the subject and be passionate about fostering students' creativity and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Develop and implement a diverse and dynamic curriculum that includes areas such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, and engineering.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support skill development.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
- Ensure the safe use of tools, equipment, and materials in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of the Design and Technology department.
- Lead or participate in extracurricular activities, such as design clubs or competitions, to enhance students' learning experiences.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in design and education.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Design and Technology.
- Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level, including KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Desirable:
- Experience in leading or contributing to technology-focused extracurricular activities or projects.
- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant technologies.
- A record of achieving strong student outcomes in Design and Technology.
