ABC Teachers is working closely with a nurturing and inclusive school currently searching for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the role:

A SEND Teaching Assistant role is instrumental in providing a quality teaching and learning experience to children and young people with moderate to complex additional needs. As well as assisting with the educational needs of young people, you will play a pivotal role in supporting their individual social, emotional and behavioural development.

About you:

  • All applicants must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in an educational setting, ideally with 1:1 SEN support. All students have an EHCP with a diagnosis of autism with possible SEMH, demonstrating experience in this area is key.
  • Can provide suitable references and hold (or are willing to obtain) a valid DBS Check.
