Teaching Assistant

The school is part of the Thrive Education Partnership, is a welcoming, purpose-built special school in Coventry, catering for students aged with a wide range of learning difficulties, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to helping students access a broad, balanced and individualised curriculum. You\’ll be part of a dedicated team focused on helping every learner develop independence, communication, and life skills in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis with learning, care, and communication needs.

Assisting with personal care, physical support, and sensory integration activities.

Adapting tasks and resources to support individual learning plans.

Promoting emotional regulation and independence through structured routines.

Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to provide holistic support.
We re Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience working with young people with SEND (or a similar background in care, youth work, or education).

Is positive, patient, resilient, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Understands the importance of visual and sensory support, structure, and routine.

Is willing to support students with physical and personal care needs.

Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is happy to complete a new one.
