Nursery Practitioner (Maternity Cover)

Location: Stoke On Trent
Contract: Maternity Cover (Starting October )
Hours: Full-time 09 00
Salary: £13.68 per hour

About the nursery:
ABC Teachers are partnering with a welcoming private day nursery that provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children from babies to pre-school. They are centred around fostering the development, well-being, and happiness of every child, while creating a supportive and teamworking environment for it s staff members.

The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioner to join us here at ABC to support on a maternity cover basis at our partnered nursery, starting in October. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and education to the nurseries children, working alongside their experienced team to ensure that each child receives the best possible start in life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Support children s personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment for the children.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child s progress.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
  • Adhere to all nursery policies and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Supporting with toileting is essential in this setting

About You:

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to their development.
  • Strong communication skills and a caring, approachable nature.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
